Awesome Canoe livery! The owners are helpful and friendly. The Mio-to-4001 stretch of the Au Sable river is the best overnight canoe trip in a 1,000 mile radius. The camping options are great, there is a steady current from the dams that keeps you moving, the river is never too shallow, the scenery is beautiful, and the wildlife is abundant

Paddling the AuSable is a treat for any age! The Alcona Canoe Rental lets you get on the river with ease. Some of the friendliest folks you will meet will answer all your questions and get your perfect river trip arranged. You will create the experience that your memories will return to for years to come!

My family had a great trip. We used a raft and I would definitely recommend it if you have young children. My teen in the tube was cold. He didn't want to be in the raft with the kids. We still had an awesome time. The river was deep and fast moving so I would definitely recommend that children have life vests.

Had a great experience! The ease of booking, the check in process, transportation setup - all great! My only reason for 4 stars is I wish the communication on the amount of the required cash deposit was more clearly communicated. I understood there was a deposit and the reason once explained, but knowing the amount to bring would have been helpful. Or offering the option to charge my card for any... Had a great experience! Or offering the option to charge my card for any lost or damaged property instead. They offer an ATM in the store, however. Highly recommend! Will be back!

Had the best time floating the river. went with a large group. did the bottom tube's. we went on the 3hr float and it ended up taking 5.5 hours, so if you go, keep that in mind. it could be 3 hours it could be longer. will definitely do it again!!

We have gone both the cabin route and camping sites and this is our favorite place in MI. The management of the place is spectacular. The staff is so friendly and these folks are hard workers! Clean baths and laundry facility, they keep it in order with a smile. Lovely views and well kept grounds. Almost don't want to leave a review and keep the place a secret, but that wouldn't be fair. Things have grown and improved so much since back in the day. Canoeing nearby. Swimming. Quiet great place to bring the kids away from the world and devices.

The park is massive but feels like a small campground since all of the different areas are spread out all around the lake. This is a nice park. The only problem we had was generators running all night, and when you go and make a complaint the management does nothing about it. So if you want to take your generator I would suggest it and can run it all night you won't get kicked out. Management does not care, not only that you can look at their front yard and see how they're going to take care of the park.

This is my new favorite campground. Very kid friendly, I love the coloring pages in the store and the free popcorn. The staff has been so friendly and the place is just beautiful. We're going to book another trip before we check out. So many playgrounds, big sites, beautiful views. It's wonderful.

Very nice campground. My only complaint is you need to buy tokens to use the showers. The full hookup side is clean, nice firepit with built on grills The grill is almost useless it covers half the firepit but is so low the only way to cook on it is with only coals or possibly bank the fire. It was quiet even during the day. I was told by someone who stays there all the time that the modern si... Very nice campground. My only complaint is you need to buy tokens to use the showers. It was quiet even during the day. I was told by someone who stays there all the time that the modern side (electric only) is the rowdy side music playing and campfires going well into the night. At our site we had a fire going till about 11:30 each night and never saw anyone else with one going that late. Most sites have shade. Some sites look to be full shade ans secluded with trees on 3 sides. The pull through sites have a view of the lake. There is no beach but there's docks where you can tie up your boat
