Great campground but ... Had to check in whenever I would leave and come back, yes I understand its for security purposes but give mirror tags so people didn't have to stop Everytime they left. And if we had any visitors they were charged $5 each to visit!!! Like what? We were visiting family hours away and they had to pay the campground to come see us. Will never go again.

Great little campground! We needed a one-night stay and they welcomed us with open arms! Actually, they were having a campground potluck and immediately invited us to join them, even though we had nothing to contribute. Such friendly people. Hot showers, laundry, clean bathrooms. Cash only-$32.00 a night!

Great location. Fire wood (dry and burns) ice, and ice cream sold on site. Swimming and fishing were great! Lots of play structures for kids. Camp operators were very friendly. Electric sites, clean bath house, washers and dryers on site. Quite park.

Helpful and friendly staff. Very quiet despite being near the highway. We would stay there again. It was a nice "base camp" for visiting the Soo.

I know that they were hit hard with the ice storm and lost a lot of trees so we were expecting it to be really bad. Honestly, it wasn't that bad . We were only 1 of 5 campers in our whole loop site 164. We did not stay in the modern loop where there were a lot more campers, but personally didn't care for that loop. The other loop was more shaded and had more trees. We did the hiking trail , that... The campground was nice. We parked in the lower lot and it was shaded and close to the beach. The only complaint I have is that I arrived at 2:40 and was told check in wasn't until 3:00. I waited in the lot and came back at 3:00. By that time there was a line to check in. There were three people in the office but only one checking people in. They weren't very friendly. It made me feel as if I was... The campground was nice. We parked in the lower lot and it was shaded and close to the beach. My wife's family has a tradition of going every year for over 20 years, and I've gone three now. It is so beautiful and peaceful, and I look forward to going every year.
