The campsite is fine and Feldtmann Lake is right next to it. I highly recommend taking the 0.8 mile hike to Rainbow Cove. make sure to bring rain gear just in case. Don't try going to Rainbow Point, which is at the end of rainbow cove, unless you want to be crawling in spiders and ants.

Are you kidding me? This campground is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in the US. Were the previous reviewers expecting concierge service in a wilderness park? Campsite two is a veritable wilderness kitchen with well placed logs and a water source ten feet away. The lake is full of Pike and Rainbow Cove is a short hike away. Moose are everywhere and the loons sing you to sleep at night. Yeah,... Are you kidding me? This campground is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in the US. We stayed here for two nights. What a lovely place. Peaceful campsite and Feldtmann lake. The rainbow cove, where you can see lake Superior, is about a mile from here. Wish I had more days to spend here. :)

This campground was very overgrown and had lots and lots of bees. The trails leading into this campground from Windigo were very, very overgrown which made for a more difficult hike. I would suggest the Windigo to Island Mine route or Desor.

Nice campsite. A little crowded when we were there, but the lake is beautiful.
