One of the most beautiful places I have camped in northern Minnesota. Our site had direct access to Flour Lake with amazing views. Being in a secluded area the wild life is very active. We were fortunate enough to see moose, deer, wolves, and loons calling every night and morning on the lake. Highly recommend for those who love to camp far from others.

This is my preferred place to camp. The vaulted bathrooms are taken care of and Golden Eagle Lodge always has the best firewood. Quite simply put they manage the campground well. The trails that surround it have beautiful views and the feel of the campground is so peaceful and feels like a home away from home while camping.

We found this gem of a campground in the middle of a pivot for our family vacation this year. The campsites are nice…ones with an uphill slope are best due to the rain. Some have a downhill slope which makes rainy days miserable. I would rate this one higher stars if the people caring for it, Golden Eagle Resort would take better care of the bathrooms. On day 1 the bathroom needed maintenance... We found this gem of a campground in the middle of a pivot for our family vacation this year. On day 1 the bathroom needed maintenance but wasn’t done for days and that was only after flagging down a truck. Clean the bathrooms daily and the stars would grow.

Excellent campgrounds! The sites are well spaced & rustic. The perfect place to be lulled to sleep by Loons & get off the grid for a bit. Rustic campground - pit toilets and no showers. You have to purchase firewood on the way up or at one of the lodges.

My wife, 2 young boys and I had a great stay at Flour this summer. We did not reserve a site but found one that was spacious and reasonably private for our family. Not all sites are created equal, much like any campground, so you often have to luck out into a great site or have stayed once and done some scouting so you know which ones to book on your next stay. Not all sites are created equal, much like any campground, so you often have to luck out into a great site or have stayed once and done some scouting so you know which ones to book on your next stay. None of the sites I saw were bad though, just some better than others. No bath facilities, which is fine if you're prepared for it or used to that kind of trip. Awesome place for us to give our boys a little taste of what the BWCA is like and still have the comfort of our car and coolers nearby.
