I would love to give this a 5 star because there is nothing better than to walk a short distance from your campsite to have a Lake Michigan view from your private “terrace”. Some sites are better than others for the view, but we were on #1 & it was perfect. Sites are mostly spacious & private, some accommodating tents but not trailers. Lots of steps on many. So choose your site wisely. Clean bathrooms, accessible water spigots. Dump is about 3 miles away at Brevoort cpgd. So why only 4 stars? Road noise! But after 1-2 am, it’s dead quiet & you can hear the lake.

We are here camping for the first time. Our site is very nice. Spacious and rustic. The beach on the other side of the dune is incredible. Absolutely gorgeous. The only knock is that our site is close to US 2, and the traffic noise is intense.

Easier to take the approx 12 steps down by parking lot.(within walking distance) site was very level. Traffic on major highway was heard but did not bother our sleep. No water or electric which was expected. And dump station at their sister camp free of charge. Jacque and John, the hosts were spectacular. Gave us insight to lots of places nearby to eat and visit. Even invited us up for coffee. Met them again at the parking lot steps to beach. Wonderful company. Very clean out house toilets, dump on site. saw John out many times checking property and visitors. Beach was clean but Lake Michigan is rocky bring swim shoes.

Primitive camping. No hookups and just a few water spigots for potable water. There are a few "restrooms". Several paths down to Lake Michigan where you can enjoy the " beach". Most sites are tree covered and many are for tents only. A few can accommodate trailers up to 28' or so. No big rigs here. Camp hosts were very friendly and kept all the sites clean and leaf free. Road noise, especially trucks, is bothersome during the day but dies down early in the evening.

We camped here on Labor Day weekend. The campground is right between lake Michigan and highway 2 and very popular. The lake side campsites have private access to the beach, and there's a variety of sites, some on a ridge, some in a sandy bottom basin, some more private, and others more open to the main road. The campsites on the roadside are sometimes louder because of being closer to the highway.... We camped here on Labor Day weekend.
