Love the seclusion. The local bar owners were always nice. Fond memories here. Great for stargazing on the lake but it geta cold even in the summer. Being a city mouse I didnt know about that sort of thing. Great primitive tent camping.

The website lies and claims there's showers! No there isn't! 5 days without a shower!! 😡🤢🤮 Then we had a young couple next to us who has absolutely NO RESPECT for others who might be sleeping! Chopping wood at 11:30 at night! The host is a drunkard! His whole campsite is covered in beer cans. He let's his dog run around loose. He doesn't even have a collar on! The well water is YELLOW like you... The website lies and claims there's showers! No there isn't! 5 days without a shower!! 😡🤢🤮 Then we had a young couple next to us who has absolutely NO RESPECT for others who might be sleeping! Chopping wood at 11:30 at night! I've been sick since Sunday and I'm praying I don't die from some kind of bacteria in that water! Why is it yellow????? The toilets smelled like straight up ammonia! It burned my lungs! Paying $5 less was not worth all this! I'll never come here again! NEVER! The road in ruined our muffler too. We had to be towed home! That cost is $370!! So thanks for an awful time!

Nice campground, but not a ton of privacy between sites. Caught plenty of fish out on the lake, and it has a nice sand beach where we spent the day catching turtles that swam past. Bathrooms were nice, well water tasted fine. The only issue was the trash. It smelled like someone had died in there and it was difficult to get within ten feet of it.

Gorgeous spring-fed lake that is easily walkable for most folks. Campsites and cabins to rent for reasonable rates. Various non powered watercraft to rent. Crazy clean water due to the no gas motors rule. Been coming here for 50+ years and it has barely changed, and that is a good thing.

The camp ground is nice and having lake access from our site was great for kayaking. My only complaint is that the rules weren't enforced very well and the neighboring campsite was lighting off large, very loud fireworks which is illegal in a national forest for many reasons. Also their campsite had way more vehicles and occupants then they were supposed to making for a loud obnoxious group. The c...
