We camp here every few years. You can also do a day trip - put in on crooked lake, canoe to very short portage, fish on Mountain, eat lunch at an empty campsite or at the portage. This year we left Chicago NW suburbs at 7, stopped at Sylvania Outfitters for paddles and PFDs, stopped at the ranger station, canoes we're waiting for us at Crooked put in, and got to our campsite in time to set up an...
