Extremely well built cabin! Beautiful setting on a lake with maybe one or two other cabins. El Nino allowed us to drive right to the cabin and snow shoes weren't needed The Forrest Service has a well stocked wood shed. The outhouse had a fiberglass interior and is as pleasant as could be. There are exactly 4 lantern hooks (1 outside and 3 indoors) in case you are wondering how many lanterns... Extremely well built cabin! Beautiful setting on a lake with maybe one or two other cabins. There are exactly 4 lantern hooks (1 outside and 3 indoors) in case you are wondering how many lanterns you might want to bring. It is slighly dark in the cabin even in full sunshine secondary to the canopy of conifers. The hand pump well (right outside) was convenient. Cooking on the wood stove with cast iron was a delight, in Summer consider bringing a gas stove as you will heat yourself out of the cabin. Great place to relax, unwind and detach from the modern world, although my son found out quickly that Cricket worked whereas his Verizon didn't. 😀

Great place to disconnect. Me and the kids got to sing a bunch of obnoxious punk songs without bothering anyone. The cabin is very well maintained. The woods and lake are beautiful. It was hard to leave.

This is the best place in earth. I’ve been to 42 of the 50 states, Canada and the tropics but I️ have a favorite place in the Hiawatha national forest. Only thing is good luck renting it when you want it. I️ did for 20+ years starting as just a kid but now I️ can’t as it has become popular.

Would be 5 stars but not clean. We try to get the cabin every year for our anniversary and really love being there but it's just so dirty that we are taking about getting it just to clean.

Amazing time with family, good time away from civilization. 4 Wheel Drive or something of the sort recommended if you plan on doing it in the winter.
