First timers staying here, my first impression after 24hrs. - I would call this "SilverLake Of The Forest". We stayed on site #317. The GOOD: - It's a large campground, buried deep in the woods, so minus the atv's etc. its very quiet and peaceful. - Everyone seemed to abide nicely to the 9am rule before starting up their machines. - Most campsites were a decent to large size, with water and electric hookups, we had no problem navigating the roads with a 24ft trailer. *note some soft sand spots and slopes in the roads. - Over half the sites are shaded by very tall, old tree's (oaks). - There are a couple of ponds for swimming\fishing - though we did not have a chance to check these out up close. - There is a very nice, unique 10ft deep indoor pool. Most hotels dont have pools this large or this deep anymore! - You can drive your Atv's, dirtbikes, Sxs etc. right from your site and onto either the private trails of W.C or the State trails (main reason we chose this campgrounds). - Staff was nice, did not see to much of them except when at the main store. This could have been a double edged sword but really wasnt. There are many rules in place, as there should be for a place like this. Before arriving, I thought this may be a huge downside, being watched like a hawk, rules etc. but most followed them honorably without staff being present in every corner. The Bad\Improvements needed\Neutral: - For the size and amount of people, another bathhouse may be needed or more bathroom stalls added. One main bathhouse and another connected to the store\pool. The bath at the main store I feel is more for pool showering and only has 1 toilet with a door. - Mens bathroom was always locked and needed a passcode to enter, the womens - was always unlocked and could walk right in. Better hope you remember that code if you have to go bad! the "family restroom" was locked period - no one could use it. Bathroom\showers could have been a tad cleaner and updated with autoflush\auto water sinks but not the worst I've seen by far. - While most people obeyed the rules, there were a few riders who went faster then the posted speed limit around camp. - When they say no cell service - They mean it!! Most places I have encountered say this but I normally have some sort of signal with Verizon but here, ZERO. not W.C fault on that though. take note and download your maps etc before going. - Wifi, this was horrible for me. They have Wifi but the signal was not good no matter where I went in the campgrounds. The rest of the family had same issues but not quite as bad as I did. - Note* a lot of the private W.C trails seem to be geared more towards dirtbikes and Atv's, many arent really wide enough for Sxs. it was still fun but Atv's would have been more fun\rideable. - Not all firepits are equal, some are bigger, taller etc. We ended up with a tiny pit (semi rim\wheel) not a trip killer but... - This is the only private campgrounds that I have been to so far, where you cannot cancel, any which way and get any type of refund. You can only reschedule it for the SAME season\year. (Thought we may have to cancel at one point due to a family emergency). Overall this is a great place if you're an offroad enthusiast. I would stay here again but would bring the Atv's instead.

Mark and Krists have created the perfect family campground we were there 3 weeks and hated to leave. Tim and the staff were always helpful and the even delivered pizza right to our site. The bike trails into Sparta were real close so we would ride in for breakfast We are definitely going back next summer Thanks guys for an amazing time Charlie and Wendy

We loved it here! They had a race going on the weekend we were there, so very busy but lots of fun! One of the few places we've found you can ride almost anything down the roads of the campground lol everyone was friendly, the facilities were clean and well taken care of! Beautiful view of the pond from our spot (5). We definitely plan to come back!

Our family always enjoys this place. It's more relaxing during the week, and gets pretty busy on the weekends. We enjoy being able to bring our sxs and quads to ride the trails in and around the property.
