We came here as a guests visiting Family (that had rented a site) for a Halloween event. I was delighted with how large and well maintained Groveland Oaks County park is. There are walking paths all throughout, wooden bridges, multiple playgrounds, a lake with a groomed beach, small arcade, cozy camp store, yurts, group sites, full hook-up or tent sites; you truly have a plethora of options available to you. My extended family has camped here multiple times, and they have enjoyed every stay. I would have no problem booking a site for ourselves, for a staycation, next summer after seeing what they have to offer.

Nice campground. Some bathhouse could use updating & cleaning. Push button for water & you have to step away from shower to reactivate. No temperature adjustments & shower heads are about 7 feet up on the wall. Full hookup sites look close together, where all the other sites look spacious. Shade trees(fairly good sized) exist, but don't always cover the site. Beach is nice, but lifeguard needs... Nice campground. Some bathhouse could use updating & cleaning. VERY mean & not good at dealing with the public. Was heard screaming at people for minor infractions. Holiday activities for the kids were nice. Quiet after 10 pm. We will go back again. Website could be a bit easier to navigate & offer better site pictures.

We've stayed at numerous City and County parks. Many aren't in the best of shape but this park was an exception. Easy to book RV sites online. No added fee to lock in site. 2. Gated entry with manned guard gate on weekends 24/7. Daily patrols by local sheriff. 3. Ton's of amenities for kids and adults alike. Putt putt golf, Pump track, skate park, paddle boat/kayak rentals, fishing, playgrounds, etc.... 4. Concrete pads on most (if not all) sites. Back in, pull thru, and easy to navigate roads. 5. Each RV site has a small separate parking area for vehicles. No added fee for a 2nd vehicle with convenient parking. 6. Small boat launch area for small boats, kayaks, etc... 7. Fishing was pretty good. Quite a lot of bass, pike, and sunfish (bluegill, red-ear, etc...) Caught a couple 2lb bass and even a 3lber! 8. Beach area to take advantage of the water during hot days. 9. Group camping areas for large groups that might want to camp together. 10. All utilities worked great. Good T-Mobile service, and enough open sky to make Starlink work if need be. 11. Excellent staff and maintenance crew. Everything was beautiful! Con's: 1. They have have VERY pretty lamp posts that show site number at the WORST possible location on the RV Sites. I'm surprised more people don't hit these. We, like many, had to ask our neighbors across the way to move their trucks so we could back in without hitting the corner posts. They are pretty (especially at night when lit up across an empty campground), just in a horrible location. 2. Funky gravel road mixture that when it gets wet due to rain sticks to your tires and flings it everywhere. It tracks everywhere on shoes, tires, etc.. 3. Pretty far from Downtown Detroit if you plan to visit (approx 1hr away). If we ever found ourselves wanting to visit the greater Detroit area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here!

Campground is nice with full hookups. Poor rating simply due to the fact that the site we had flooded after a half hour summer shower. Many of the sites on the southwest side of circle A flooded. The concrete pads in this area are below grade. Bathrooms are clean.

This is a gem of Oakland County that I wish I knew about years ago. This is the sort of campground that has everything you want, and nothing you don't. This is the sort of campground that has everything you want, and nothing you don't. Little islands in a lake that are bridge accessible? Got it. The world's largest playground? Got it. Gaga ball pit? Yes. Camping store, rental boats, arcade (with Galaga machine, I mean come on!), large clean sites, clean bathrooms, skate board park, bike challenge trail, huge beach, friendly young campers with quiet kids, and a bajillion other things? Yes . There is almost everything to like and nothing to dislike about this place, it is literally one of the nicest camping places I've ever been to! And I talked to 2 of the ladies who are All Season state employees and they had a true sense of pride in this place, as they should. If you live in the area, and even if you don't, go for an overnight camp, or just a day trip, it's so nice! And take your kids, they will love it.
