Went for a weekend getaway. Tubing was perfect no reservations needed. Trip took about 4.5 hours. Lots to do at the campground. It’s a very busy/loud campground. Sites were very spacious. You can order food and they will deliver it to your site.

We loved the location, near the back, slight coverage with trees yet we saw some sky and stars at night. The ladies in the office were very nice and helpful, we got directed to our side easily and told about some fun things, they have pizza delivery on the grounds which we took full advantage of. It was affordable, delicious and hot! Quick too. Some campers next to us were respectful and nice, some were super loud and didn’t stop until 230 in the morning. Two nights in a row which made for a long night of no sleep. We took advantage of the tubing and it was so fun, 4 hours of floating down the Muskegon river with my family was great, waves from passing boats, turtles on fallen trees, waving at people and good music. Amazing weather too. What a good experience. Will do again. I recommend coming and trying. They have something for everyone, playground, ice cream shop, pizza delivery, basketball and volleyball, and an arcade, even a pool, oh and you can rent golf carts to get around. Super fun!!!

Really great campground! So much fun to float down the Muskegon river and end at the campground. The shuttle and tube rental is definitely worth the money. We ordered pizza when we got off the river and had it delivered to our campsite- so nice when everyone is tired and just wants to relax the rest of the day! The owners are very welcoming and easy to talk to.

I would like to say thank you to all the staff at the Chinook Campgrounds for a great time my wife Kathy and I had. Starting with an easy check in process to get set up at our site. Great location for fishing, tubing, and kayaking. The kids we saw there where having a blast in the bounce houses to the swimming pool disc golf and arcade. Some people may complain about internet connection but you are camping to be in the great out doors and disconnect. Remember relax and enjoy what nature has to offer walk around and visit with new people. Maybe add a miniature golf coarse fun for all ages. Thanks again and we will definitely be back.

Here are the problems I found with the camp area: - Very weak in cleaning services - Only two bathrooms building for the whole campsite and the rest of the campsite was full of transportable blue bathrooms stations. - we went for a ride with tubes on the river. The river was full of big tree trunks that put us in enough inconvenience. They didn’t even tell us about these things, and how to tie the tubes together and didn’t even patrolled once. We were on the river for full four hours. - they were only accepting cash!! - the wood prices was 5times more than outside of the camp.
