As a serious camper who treats this passion like a full-on lifestyle, Alice Springs RV Park & Resort in Ionia, Michigan, is firmly at the top of my must-visit list right now. The new owners are clearly all-in on elevating the place—they’re working hard to turn it into one of those legendary “don’t-miss” destinations every season. The entire team is incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, and the recent upgrades are seriously impressive. Just a few highlights: • A massive new off-leash dog park where your four-legged adventure buddies can run, play, and burn off energy without restraint. • A sleek, full-service indoor bar area perfect for mixing up your favorite cocktails while lounging poolside. • A top-tier bounce pad and updated playground that keep the kids entertained for hours. • An entire new phase of the campground featuring huge concrete pads (level and stable for any rig) and custom fire rings at every site—ideal for those epic evening campfires. And that’s just scratching the surface—the improvements keep coming, from expanded lakefront options to resort-style amenities that make every stay feel luxurious yet authentically outdoorsy. Bottom line: If you’re the kind of camper who values quality sites, thoughtful upgrades, family-friendly fun, and a genuine commitment to making camping better, put Alice Springs on your bingo card this year. You won’t regret it—it’s quickly becoming one of Michigan’s premier spots for serious RVers and campers alike! 🚐🔥🐶

Did not go into cabins ,so I can't rate them, they added new sites along the the front row ,but we stayed in the older sites that are gravel. Nice pool and play areas for kids. Great stop if your going by with a special local farmers market as well as a Meijer and Walmart.

The campgrounds are clean, it was Labor Day weekend and the bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept. We had 4 adults and 8 kids and found plenty to keep us busy. I was surprised for such beautiful weather the pool was not packed. We were able to find chairs each day and didnt feel too crowded. I especially loved the printed schedule given to us at check in but on top of that they texted before each event so our kiddos could make it without us having to track the time. Some shade in the newer cement pad spots would be nice but I hear thats in the works. Would visit again. Everyone eas super friendly, campers and staff alike. The second day we set a leaky trash bag by the road with plans to take it to the dump after eating and maintence stopped by offering to take it for us. Based on previous reviews I expected to be told it couldn't be there but he was more than friendly and said no problem he'd take it for us.

My family came here for a camping trip. The camper/RV spots did not offer any shade, which sucked with how hot it was. There is a nice pool, but it could use some umbrellas and more regular skimming. There is a nice pool, but it could use some umbrellas and more regular skimming. The bathrooms are not well maintained. We spent a week there and the garbage cans were overflowing the entire time with the same stuff. 2 showers were broken and one bathroom. The water here is terrible, there’s a lot of water in the pipes which made the showers spray or sputter.. at our camper site we had a regulator which helped a bit, but there were still issues. The bathroom has a nice modern vibe, but needs way more attention. They have a nice catch and release lake, there are ticks so be cautious. The communication was not great, we asked about a roof top tent and their rules for that because they are super strict and threaten to kick you out if not followed. We asked first around 8am, said we would get a call/text. Around noon, walked back up to be told she was super busy and hadn’t had a chance to ask while she was on her cell phone at the front desk 🤔 They change their prices and tack on a lot of fees for anything extra. When calling they quoted the golf cart at $65/day when arriving it was $75/day - when we mentioned the call the response was it changes and they didn’t remember what we were told. Overall the campground is quiet and a decent place to stay, but I would not return based on how strict their rules are and how little maintenance is being done on their daily used stuff like the bathroom and food stock.

So I will say this is a nice campground and I didnt have any problems with staff. They were friendly with all interactions I had. I will say it is like camping in a field there are no trees around and so there is no shade and the wind is constant feeling. The pads are super nice and the campfire pits are pretty cool. We had a lake site but it is a little slippery close to the edges. Quiet at night... So I will say this is a nice campground and I didnt have any problems with staff.
