This was our first time here at Burt Lake State Park. The ranger that checked us in, Lance was great. He seen our camper and recommended switching to a better site. Electric only here so fill your fresh water tank on the way in. Some sites are paved but most are grass/sandy. Burt Lake is really big which made the Northern Lights awesome! Bathrooms are old but clean enough. Beach is clean, mostly sandy with a few small rocks. There is an area by the beach to walk your dog with bags and a trash can. The park is close to Mackinac city, Petoskey and Cheboygan. There is a boat launch, some people were mooring their boats off shore. We like this park a lot!

Hubby and I went here while on vacation. It was a very nice campground. We had such a beautiful view of the lake. There is a beach with a volleyball court. Restrooms were very clean and it was very quiet and peaceful

Nice park, bathrooms were clean, the people were super nice, it was really quiet at night which we love! No mosquitoes that we saw at all, the beach area is a little rough but not dirty, which is a plus! They have swings, a volleyball net, baseball area and a slide. Paved roads so kids can ride bikes.

Updating my review. Burt Lake is one of the best places I've camped at! The restrooms and showers are clean (I believe there are four of them and are in walking distance). The beach is clean and clear, nice sand and a great place to look for Petoskey stones and cool rocks. There are lots of things to do like river rafting and mini golf across the street, walking distance from town and trails in the woods. It's also a good 20 to 30 minutes away from places like Mackinaw City, Petoskey, etc. The only thing is if you're used to rustic camping or tent camping there are huge campers everywhere, everyone's really close to each other, so not a whole lot of privacy 😅
