Beach was great with nice showers and restrooms nearby. They also had 4 food trucks at beach/dunes (share same parking lots) parking lots when we visited at beginning of July. Camp host for our loop (site 76) was very good. One thing to keep in mind is that the dunes/beach is a little ways away from campground. I'm guessing about 1.5 Miles depending on your site #. We had bikes so it worked out good for us.

Its close to the highway & noisy but overall its a lovely rustic campground with spacious and semi-private sites. I came once on my own, I loved it so much I organized a family/group outing on several occasions. Some of my members also fell in love they returned this year to camp. Some of them returned with their infants. The staff is friendly. The showers are descent with adequate water pressure... The beach bathrooms are some of the cleanest I have ever seen or been too. There are a dozen of trails to explore and the terrain changes beautifully.

Clean and well maintained sites and nice bathrooms, especially for a campground. Some sites seemed on top of each other. Not a big deal for one night, which is all we stayed. I usually have no problem with white noise, but the highway noise was noticeably and surprisingly loud at times while trying to sleep. Beach is large and beautiful, superior to Indiana Dunes Beach in my opinion. Had no problem with the fire pit nor wood purchased at entrance to campsites as mentioned by other reviewers.

Great location right next to Warren Dunes Beach. Campsites are small and packed tightly together, and the campground was crowded when we visited. The tight layout can make it feel overrun by RVs. You can bike to the beach in about 10 minutes, but need to be careful on the shared road with cars. We specifically stayed at Mount Randall campgrounds. Pros: Incredibly clean bathrooms and showers. Trails are clearly labeled and mapped out. Pros: Incredibly clean bathrooms and showers. Trails are clearly labeled and mapped out. Friendly campers who have been respectful about noise (at least during our stay). Access to the beach is very easy via car with plenty of parking. Cons: If you are looking to be isolated and get lost in nature, this is not the campground to go to. You are in close proximity to other campers, and you're near the main road so you will hear cars passing by even in the middle of the night. If you are someone who partakes in alcohol it is strictly prohibited. For us, it is our first time staying in a national park and it has been an incredible stay. We were definitely humbled by the size of the dunes when we tackles the trails, but the views were absolutely worth it as well as making to the lake. We love the variety in terrain from forest, dunes to beach. We would absolutely come back, what a great place to make memories.
