It is close to the road but the there are large trees surrounding the park and blocks the road noise. The park has small trees planted but are not enough for shade yet. However, we visited when it was cooler so it wasn't an issue. The staff was very helpful. It was the perfect place for us to stay. It was minutes away from the boat cruises and hiking areas within the Pictures Rock NP.

Bathroom and showers very clean. Sites were good sized. Sites are very open so would be hot in the summer but we were passing through in the fall so it was fine for us.

This is our second time here. In the small town of Christmas right up the road from Munising. Very large full-hookup 50 amp sites are great! Very pet friendly. A huge bundle of wood for $10 in 2025. Great place to setup camp to explore the Pictured Rocks area and all the waterfalls. Finally, very friendly staff at check-in. Sites are spacious and pretty level. Grass areas around sites. Interior roads are dirt with potholes. Sites are dirt with some gravel. Laundry may as well shut down. 2 washers and 2 dryers, but only 1 of each worked as should. Dryer doesn't dry and the washer drips water into the tub extremely slow and doesn't clean the clothes. Load came out with caked on soap powder.
