What a beautiful campground! The water at Higgins Lake is clear and clean. Like pure heaven. Also can we just gush over the fact there is a separate ‘dog beach’. Also can we just gush over the fact there is a separate ‘dog beach’. I feel seen - thank you from all dog parents 🥰 Few things that could be improved. The campgrounds are right next to a road so it definitely is not the quiet outdoor experience I was shooting for. Also can we talk about RVs? Grandma and grandpa this is for you….. Could you turn off your LED outdoor lights on camper that shine off into the campground? You guys don’t see it inside your sweet little palace of plywood and sheer luxury, but us tenters do. It makes it difficult to sleep. I’d appreciate it so so much. Love you out here too! Next, ok, so the bathrooms are amazingly beautiful. That real wood on the ceiling? It’s a woodsy vibe in there. And there’s special bug screens on bathroom windows so I don’t have to hear women screaming about insects (beautiful sweet little things) that may or may not be crawling and flying towards them. Thank you MI state park design team! So smart. However, can we discuss the shower heads? It’s like something out of worst high school gym locker room showers. They’re terrible. Tiny, shooting every way but towards your head of hair. Please change them. It would make those restrooms on another level. Also maaaaybe get larger hot water tanks. Ok, ok that’s it! Seriously though what a magical little slice of pinelands. It’s beautiful. MI you do it right when it comes to the outdoor arena. Can’t wait to go back and explore this gem of a spot. And thanks to the staff! So very gracious and helpful.

We went winter tent camping. The campsites were plowed with electricity. Vault toilet was available. No running water due to it being freezing outside. I would definitely come again during the winter as well as during the summer season. Lots of mature trees so I'm sure that during the summer and fall it's very nice and shady.

Site 84. Nice size. Easy to get trailer in and out. Quiet camp ground. Room for two vehicles and also a boat trailer.

Place is well kept but WAY too packed. Out of all the campgrounds we’ve been to, this one probably has the least room for each camp site. If they just take out a few spots and expand others just a little bit, this place would actually be really nice. It was just way too crowded.
