Nice little out of the way place, Friendly staff. But, if you're a tent camper be warned, bathrooms were locked from like 10pm-? Woke in the morning (7am) and I had to head to the nearest gas station, ( I was NOT Happy). Other than that, nice little spot.

It's not at all as good as it used to be. We've stayed here at least once a year for multiple days since 2020 and it has steadily gotten worse. Security issues in the park, including theft, closing the gate between camping sections to reduce traffic, and kids flipping picnic tables makes this our last trip to Marion. Price is the best reason to stay here. I just don't think staying in Marion is worth the savings. Until the town gets its act together and supports the campground management, it's only going to get worse.

This place is wonderful! The campsites are close to the river that runs through town, which was beautiful. The bathrooms and showers were super clean and warm, easily the cleanest campground bathrooms I've ever been in. Not only is the campground great and inexpensive, but the management is top notch. I was greeted so warmly and the kind woman who set me up (I'm sorry I forget her name!) surprised me by paying for my dinner at the pizza shop. I stayed here as a stop along the way for a bikepacking trip, but I'll definitely be going again just for the experience. Thank you so much!!
