I know that they were hit hard with the ice storm and lost a lot of trees so we were expecting it to be really bad. Honestly, it wasn't that bad . We were only 1 of 5 campers in our whole loop site 164. We did not stay in the modern loop where there were a lot more campers, but personally didn't care for that loop. The other loop was more shaded and had more trees. We did the hiking trail , that... The campground was nice. We parked in the lower lot and it was shaded and close to the beach. The only complaint I have is that I arrived at 2:40 and was told check in wasn't until 3:00. I waited in the lot and came back at 3:00. By that time there was a line to check in. There were three people in the office but only one checking people in. They weren't very friendly. It made me feel as if I was... The campground was nice. We parked in the lower lot and it was shaded and close to the beach.
