Lots of parking and easy in and out access. Great place to watch the sunset. And swimming beach. Find soft touching rocks.

This place is gorgeous! A must see for anyone, in or out of State. A truly 1 of a kind place, & if you know, you know. If not, you'll have to FAFO so to say. 🤣 Northern Michigan has many treasures, but Petoskey has the Petoskey Stone. You have to visit to get 1, because you can only get them here.

Crowded, even on a late Sunday afternoon. But still beautiful. DEFINITELY not for rock hunting - this was one of the locations recommend to me to find Petoskey stones and I do not know what those people were thinking because it is all sand. Perfect for a beach day.

Gorgeous beach to see the sunset. Rock hunting nearby with a shelter on the beach. Plenty of parking but we visited off season in early fall.

Even though I didn’t go swimming, I absolutely loved my time at the beach in Petoskey State Park. The scenery was peaceful and beautiful, especially during sunset — truly a breathtaking view over the water. The beach was clean and well-maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding and taking in nature. A great spot for a calm evening by the lake!
