Cascade Lake Park is hands-down one of Rochester’s most beautiful and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. Great place for the family and for all ages. Something for everyone. Beach with swimming allowed just watch out for dog poop. 2 mile walking loop around lake with adjoining trails. Wheelchair accessible. Also has a pavilion and looks like indoor party room. Nice little sitting area around a smaller pound. Also nice individual restrooms with running water sinks.

We visited this park while staying in Rochester for the weekend (late July). It was perfect. I’d like to meet the person who designed this park, because it is that incredible. Like a storybook, or Cocomelon, ideal design. A little kid playground, adjacent big kid playground, AMAZING native prairie garden with a storybook trail and “secret” pond, a fenced off beach / lake, CLEAR water for swimming/... I’m sure there’s more I’m missing, but we only visited twice as out of towners. Really awesome park. The only con, that is my number one complaint for all lake beaches… the frigging goose poop. Someone get their kid to do an invention convention and solve the lake beach goose poop problem bc it’s disgusting. (My photos don’t capture it all.)
