My family and I loved this campground for the weekend of the 4th. Very quiet with a beach and access to the river. Sites are large and grassy you can either back in or pull parallel.

Tom is a great host. This is our all time favorite camp ground. We travel 4.5 hours just to spend time here. We enjoy the 50 miles of asphalt bike trails. Tom has catered to our canoeing trips which makes things very convenient with his rental service.

Something happened with both of our vehicles GPSes, so we missed the campground by 30 miles, but we found it eventually. Large sites. Very quiet. An outdoor stage was there - I guess they have concerts, but our kids were happy to perform and sing. We just stayed overnight on our way across the country. Seemed pretty good.

I wanna give 5 stars because the man who runs the place is very nice and welcoming, but his wife is always rude and condescending. I've been there 3 different times and the 2 times we've had to talk to the woman she's tried to argue with me or someone else in my group. The 1 time we didn't talk to her everything went easy. She's the common denominator. I'd give 5 stars if the woman stopped working...
