Clean, quiet and diverse. Tent camping, permanent cabins or horse tie out areas for equestrians. Prairie- trails/ flowers, lake- fishing or swimming/ boating or oak forests- shade/comfort and quiet all around. The group area has a huge shelter with an amazing fire-pit area with picnic tables- seating and lots of parking. Most all sites have cook- charcoal grill stands. Bathrooms are mostly ou... Clean, quiet and diverse. Tent camping, permanent cabins or horse tie out areas for equestrians. Prairie- trails/ flowers, lake- fishing or swimming/ boating or oak forests- shade/comfort and quiet all around. The group area has a huge shelter with an amazing fire-pit area with picnic tables- seating and lots of parking. Most all sites have cook- charcoal grill stands. Bathrooms are mostly out-houses with concrete foundations. Overall roads are nice and gravel is kept up. Signs are clear and easy to read/ directions to all campgrounds. We loved the gigantic dock with 2 Picnic tables, can't wait to have a lunch there! Book early! This park is always full!!!

Nice, quiet park, not very busy when we were there. Have a small swimming area and a place to rent kayaks, babies and paddle boards. The hiking club hike was very nice, as was Mardy's trail that goes around the lake. We've had a wet summer, so the mosquitos are bad, as well as flies. Three big snapping turtles live near the dock by the swimming area and lots of curious fish. Lots of benches and pi... Nice, quiet park, not very busy when we were there. Stayed 2 nights. Nice diagonal back in spaces with a lot of shade. Clean, quiet. Good hiking club trail ~ about 3.0 mile loop from lower camp ground.
