I camped at Lady Slipper Campground. I jumped a yearling Black Bear at the trash bins. The bear took off running and was not a threat. However, the Parks trash bin has a small wooden door and I am sure the bear has figured out how to open that door and fish out full trash bags. There is trash scattered 100 feet back in the trees, so obviously this has been going on for some time. I picked up most... I camped at Lady Slipper Campground. A steel bear proof heavy duty trash receptical is needed. That Black Bear is likely to come back and at some point there will be conflict.

My girlfriend and I have a States Park map that we’re just over a third of the way thru checking off (66 parks) and this is the only state park we’ve camped at twice. This place is sick!
