Lake Washington Regional Park & Campground – Visitor Review Lake Washington Regional Park is a wonderful spot for anyone who enjoys peaceful walks, lake views, and a clean, well-maintained campground. The hiking trails here are scenic and easy to follow, winding through wooded areas and along stretches of open prairie with views of the lake. It’s a great place to spend a morning or evening exploring the natural beauty of southern Minnesota. The campground itself is quiet, spacious, and very well kept. Campsites are clean, level, and nicely spaced, offering both open and shaded options. Electric hookups are available at most sites, and the facilities—including restrooms and water access—are in great condition. Whether you’re camping in a tent, RV, or a Mini-T Campervan, it’s an easy park to navigate and settle into. Overall, Lake Washington Regional Park is one of those local gems that delivers exactly what you want from a regional park: a clean environment, relaxing scenery, and just enough amenities to make your stay comfortable without feeling crowded or overdeveloped.

This is a nice and tranquil Campground. The campsites are level. There is electricity in all but one spot. There is a dump station and water fill up. Note that there are not any pull through sites, but the sites in the middle area (not the outside of the horseshoe loop) have very long pads that will accommodate the longest RVs out there. (we were at 52' with trailer and truck and there was still a good 10' of room). The fire rings are heavy duty and nice. There are trails nearby (about 3.5 miles of trails). Trails are good for walking, hiking, running or biking (but no motorized vehicles).

If water hook up is important to you then you wldnt want to camp here for there's not water🚫🚰 hookups but they do have a spickot 🚰when you first come in same with dump station. I see they sell ice 3$5# & 6$10# they have a regular playground 🤸🤼and some hiking trails 🥾🧬I'm going to go on after I write this.. lol. You can buy bundle of 🔥 🪵🪓 for 5$ 💵as well which is about 5 pieces so kinda spendy💸💰 in my opinion. 🚹🚺🚽🚿🧻Restrooms very clean! They also have 🧺 picnic tables and 🔥 ring at each site, the pwr🔌 is 2030& 50 and few tent sites. There's always tons of stuff to do in Mankato great food🦞🍤🌮🍕🍗🍟🥠, bars some w entertainment🍹🍷🍺🎵🎸🎺💃🕺ok so I just talked to the camp host and they are in the midst of making small beach an can access it from the property access the bridge plus they are going to pave some trails. Nice campground so then why a '4'? Cause for 30amp elec spot only no water was 35$/nite I thought it quite high in my opinion. Thanks for reading Peace ✌️

Nice campground with wide, level spots. Not much for shade yet as the trees are smaller. Campground is next to a busy road so you will have some road noise. Lots of trails, some paved, gravel and grass. Has a dump site also. Would stay here again.

Very clean and cozy new campground just outside of Mankato! Close enough to Mankato to invite friends and family! It gives good ‘stay-cation’ vibes! Taking the boat out tomorrow also! The public landing is just down the road! It’s a gem!
