About Luther Woods

Campground in Minnesota.

Nestled in the heart of northern Minnesota's lake country, Luther Woods offers RV campers an authentic escape into the natural beauty of the North Woods. Located in Birchwood, this public campground serves as an ideal base for exploring one of Minnesota's most scenic regions, where pristine forests meet sparkling waters and the pace of life slows to match the rhythm of nature.

The Birchwood area is renowned for its abundance of lakes and outdoor recreation opportunities. Whether you're an angler hoping to land walleye, northern pike, or panfish, a paddler seeking peaceful waterways, or simply someone who wants to breathe in the fresh pine-scented air, Luther Woods positions you perfectly to experience it all. The surrounding landscape features dense forests interspersed with clearings, creating that classic North Woods atmosphere that has drawn visitors to Minnesota for generations. The region's natural environment provides excellent opportunities for wildlife observation, with deer, loons, and various bird species commonly spotted throughout the area.

Beyond the immediate campground surroundings, the Birchwood community and its neighboring areas offer visitors a genuine taste of northern Minnesota life. We will definitely be back soon and a couple times next year.

Kids absolutely loved the pool and their foam party. We have 4 kids ranging for 14-2 and they all had a blast.

We stayed at Wildwood RV Park and Campground over Labor Day weekend and overall had a great time. The kids loved the mini golf, pool, foam parties, and snacks from the park store. The campground has a fun atmosphere with plenty to keep families entertained. Our site was extremely large but did not have full hookups. The kids loved the mini golf, pool, foam parties, and snacks from the park store. The campground has a fun atmosphere with plenty to keep families entertained. Our site was extremely large but did not have full hookups. The only downside was our site ended up being used as a walking path and dog area by other campers, and not everyone picked up after their pets. We even had dogs doing their business under the back of our camper, which we did not enjoy. Camp etiquette here felt a bit more relaxed and informal than we are used to, and that part of the experience was disappointing. Overall we would come back, but next time we will choose a different site.

Large sites, clean facilities and tons of fun activities! They take great care of the campground and really take care of the campers. I appreciate all the extra effort they put in to making the stay there great. Highly recommend. We come a few times a year!
