This camp ground off of Hwy 7 in Hutchinson is really beautiful if you need to stop on your way to the cities or over here for some reason. This camp ground off of Hwy 7 in Hutchinson is really beautiful if you need to stop on your way to the cities or over here for some reason. The only draw back at this time of the year is that the beautiful green park behind our camper cannot be enjoyed due to the tremendous amount of dog size goose droppings ALL OVER! Even everywhere you possibly can walk around your camp site. Not cool! They have full hookups with (30 and 50 amp) electric, sewer and water. It is odd that there is no check in though. You make reservations and pay by phone then just drive to your site and park. Check in is 2:00, check out is noon. Here are some pictures.

Slightly run down, but still nice enough. The walking paths near the river are usually covered by mud/silt. Bleh

We camp here in the city campground. River for kayaking, Luce Line trail for biking, walking. Wildlife sanctuary. Jimmy's Pizza near. Squeakys bowl and restaurant near. Basketball court and large green area for playing. Water rentals available in the summer also.

It's clean, well maintained, conveniently located, but I wish the city had more then just "online only" assistance. My biggest complaint is the shared water taps. Running two hoses across my whole pad isn't well thought out and possess a trip hazard.

Great camping sites in a town with excellent walking & biking trails. Also a preserve with animals.
