Wow! What a slice of outdoor heaven! Dave, Lexi and Gooder are the real deal in hospitality folks! Don’t underestimate the quality of the other 57 reviews. If you are looking to stay or visit here, read them all if you must (I did because I wanted to). I won’t repeat ALL of the GREAT things that have already been said about this gem and these folks, but I will share a short story that sums it up.... Wow! What a slice of outdoor heaven! If you are looking to stay or visit here, read them all if you must (I did because I wanted to). I won’t repeat ALL of the GREAT things that have already been said about this gem and these folks, but I will share a short story that sums it up. On 6/10/25 (my daughter’s birthday!) my buddy Allie and I crossed into Minnesota via route 12 from So. Dakota on an epic coast-to-coast backroads only adventure. I made mention of not recalling seeing a “Welcome” sign. One hour later, we rolled into this jewel on the Chippewa River in Benson. The hospitality here was the BEST welcome ever! The warmth, kindness and sociability was unmatched anywhere else on our journey. I look forward to the day I can return here with my wife to spend a bit more time exploring the river and engaging Dave and Lexi into more stories and to playing more 8-ball with them. If you are good enough, (or lucky), you might get invited to play on the Cannon table! 10 out of 10…that is my wish for a review upgrade for the Outdoors Inn Campground! Thanks for listening! Steve

The Chippewa River runs along the side of this property. The campground is very thoughtfully laid out with plenty of space between sites. One section is under a canopy of beautiful trees, and another section offers more sun but has at least one shade tree by each site. Every site has water, electric, and sewer hook-ups. The sites have picnic tables and fire pits. The owners are amazing and... The Chippewa River runs along the side of this property. The sites have picnic tables and fire pits. The owners are amazing and know the value of excellent customer service. Camping here is like camping with friends. This is truly an amazing place.
