About Quetico Park - Ojibwa Campground

Campground in Minnesota.

Nestled in the heart of Minnesota's pristine wilderness, Ojibwa Campground serves as your gateway to one of North America's most spectacular natural destinations. This public campground offers RV enthusiasts direct access to Quetico Park, a vast expanse of boreal forest, crystalline lakes, and rugged shorelines that spans over one million acres across the Canadian border. Whether you're seeking solitude in nature or adventure-filled days exploring the backcountry, this location provides the perfect home base for your Minnesota camping experience.

The Ojibwa Campground sits in an ideal position for accessing the park's most popular entry points and paddling routes. The air itself seems to refresh your spirit, carrying the distinctive scent of coniferous forests and the calls of loons echoing across the lakes.

This area is particularly beloved by canoeists and kayakers who use Ojibwa as a staging area for extended backcountry expeditions into Quetico Park. The park's interconnected lake system offers countless paddling opportunities, from multi-day wilderness journeys to day trips exploring hidden coves and remote shorelines. Anglers find excellent opportunities for walleye, northern pike, and lake trout, while photographers and nature enthusiasts discover endless subjects in the region's wildlife and landscapes.

Beyond water-based activities, the surrounding area offers hiking, wildlife viewing, and the simple pleasure of immersing yourself in unspoiled nature. The campground's location provides convenient access to supplies and services while maintaining the peaceful, away-from-it-all atmosphere that makes camping in this region so restorative. Fall brings spectacular color as the boreal forest transforms, while summer offers long daylight hours perfect for exploration. This destination appeals to experienced outdoors people, families seeking authentic nature experiences, and anyone yearning to disconnect and reconnect with the natural world. Awesome campground! We've stayed at both the Chippewa and Ojibwa grounds now and while they are different, they're both very, very nice! We stayed just down from the comfort station, which was very nice and clean! We will definitely stay there again!

Ojibwa campground is quiet with large sites for trailer . Showers at the comfort station were clean and laundry is only $1.75 per load and $1 for the dryer. There is decent fishing from the rocky point at the main beach area. Be sure to check out the visitor centre and visit the library downstairs.

Amazing campground! So much to do and so many little hidden spots, beaches and activities. Great experience with all staff, most in particular Deb! If you need any tips or pointers she is super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable definitely the one talk too! Amenities were clean and park maintained.
