Great campground! We were just passing through and found this hidden gem! Such a cute area with a walking bridge across the river to a few restaurants and supply shops. I didn’t go into the bathrooms but the grounds were clean and well maintained. There was a nice walking trail and we spotted a doe on our morning walk! We called ahead the day of arrival and booked site 10 based on other reviews. Excellent site. Too windy for a fire, but a nice site on the river. The park was quiet, two longer-term people up top, and a tenter arrived after dark, but mostly quiet. site 7 looked impossible to level, fyi. Showers looked pretty awful, and bathrooms overall not very clean. Otherwise, great spot.

What a gem of a campsite! (Bathrooms/showers not so much, which is also the storm shelter.) We had excellent weather, thankfully, and will definitely return next year - thank you!

I give this 5 stars for the beautiful view but 0 for the city administration of it and bathrooms. I give this 5 stars for the beautiful view but 0 for the city administration of it and bathrooms. Also, half the sites are just in a sand lot with no view. 5- Smaller park on a river with a suspension bridge that takes you downtown. There were about 50 geese around but they did not cause trouble. 0- The bathroom sinks were never cleaned the 10 days we were there. The floors were cleaned by hosing them off, and I think they hosed the toilets, too! The city does not appear to have a standard policy. i.e. You are expected to call the city for a reservation and pay ahead, yet they told some campers that they did not take reservations. They do not put reservation signs out until the day of so you don't know how long you can stay. We arrived in the middle of the night and discovered they put our reservation on someone else's site even after they had me tell them what kind of trailer we had and how many slides. When I called to complain, the lady got angry with me and had to give the phone to someone else because I was so disturbing. They claim they are working on getting better but will not listen to any suggestions. Finally, many people walk through so keep your belongings safe. There were three robberies when I was there.

Site 10 is the best! We travel full time in our RV and this little park is in our top ten favorites! Loved the park, site & town! Only 4 stars because the bathrooms tend to be rough. Cleaned by nice teenage boys, so that may be part of the problem? Everyone we met in this town is super nice!
