We’ve photographed sessions all over southeast Minnesota and the waterfall at Sylvan Park Campground in Lanesboro is one of those spots that never disappoints. The sound of the water, the trees, the trails and the way the light filters through the bluff walls make it feel quiet and untouched in the best way. Add in the charm of nearby downtown Lanesboro with its brick buildings, river views and small-town character and you have an incredible variety of backdrops within just a few minutes. Tennis courts near here are always fun to play at. They do have a lot of weeds and are not very well kept however!

Such a fun place for the kids to play. We are from Wichita KS but are visiting family. Lanesboro is so cute in a beautiful location between the bluffs. The park had things for my two children ages 9-9months!
