Very nice camping area. Sites are close together but still have decent privacy on some. The deer are very comfortable around people. Bathrooms are well maintained.

As Joey the Roaming Koala (love the name.) pointed out, one of the rangers is quite nasty. Nitpicky and rude with a "I'm the authority figure around here and you're just guests" energy. Such example is apparently no two cars parked next to eachother in a site so an "ambulance can get in." ... Had to go to the overflow lot two loops down. Quite annoying!

Extremely well-kept campground. REALLY nice bathrooms. Beautiful trails along the St. Croix River. Fun events hosted by the state park for all ages. Visitor center had a lot of helpful items, such as allowed firewood to burn on-site kept in a covered, dry place. Highly recommend if you’re in the metro area and don’t want to go too far for a great outdoors experience!

This wasn't my favorite place as a woman traveling, alone. This is very secluded with no cell phone service. Quite the jaunt to get to, pretty far from attractions. Perfect for the person liking quiet, no phone sort of trip.
