I’ve camped here twice now. It’s been a great experience both times. Easy to find your spot. There are a few water facets spread throughout the campsites. Restrooms as well that are very clean. The staff are helpful. Easy access to the Lake. Bring lots of bug spray and sunscreen!

Red haired host had definitely complained and targeted us when she found out about our group coming. Also, after finding out that our dogs needed to be leashed, she came around 3 more times to yell at us and threatened to call the sheriff the 4th time even though we were following all her rules. WHILE the other campers dog’s were roaming off leash around our camp site TWICE and she did not stop by... WHILE the other campers dog’s were roaming off leash around our camp site TWICE and she did not stop by to talk to them once about leashing their dog. Felt targeted because of our race along with our sexuality. Not coming back here if she is still here. It was suppose to be a fun relaxing time but every time she strolled around to make rounds, it was uncomfortable because she would stop ONLY AT OUR campsite and stare at us as if we were doing something wrong. Beautiful lake and awesome campers, but the host made our experience extremely uncomfortable and bad. The photo of the dog was proof of the other campers dog unleashed in our campsite.

Great campground, pretty big. Second time we stayed before launching into BWCA. Very convenient and spaced out sites, pit toilets, potable water spigots. No open dumpsters found, so we packed our garbage out. Each site had a picnic table and a fire pit.

This is a large campground on Sawbill Lake. The campsites are all spacious with good distance between them and lie under towering pines. Bathrooms are pit toilets and Sawbill Canoe Outfitters is located within the campground, offering supplies, etc.
