Great experience for both my son and I!! Location: very easy to get to and right on the river. The forest and other natural surroundings at camp were very well preserved. Many trails available to shortcut across the property or just go for a walk. We took precautions to keep food out of our tent and had no issues with foraging animals. Plenty of mosquitoes but that's expected on Minnesota! Safet... Safety: we felt very safe, all hours of the day. The latrines we're close enough to camp that a 2 am walk to use one was not intimidating. All of the staff at camp were knowledgeable and experienced, which helped provide a sense of safety. There was an owl and howling coyotes/fox late in the night, just a noise disturbance and not a threat. Masking was required in buildings. I didn't see anyone wear masks in the shared bathrooms/shower but there was only one or two times when someone else was in the building at the same time. They had masks for anyone that forgot theirs. Program: densely packed with a ton of information. There was no time for boredom! The camp counselors were great and super personable. My son loved the program director, Tarazan, the most! Also loved the unique names and stories everyone had for their names. Easier to remember! Food: hands down amazing! Pictures don't do justice for the taste and quality. Even the hot dogs were flavorful! Facilities: we used a provided tent. It was good quality but not clean and very wet from rain the day before we got there. The shared cabins looked great and a better option for those that don't like tent camping. The shared bathrooms were clean. The shower space was good but no place to put your shower items. Clean Porta potties were scattered around the property for easy access/less walking. The fellowship hall was very clean with nice views of the river during meals. Overall, no issues or complaints. We put on close to 20,000 steps each day. Lots of walking to get from place to place. The hill at the entrance is a bear to walk up but worth it to get to the ponies on the other side! We look forward to returning for camp next year!

The staff and management here is phenomenal. They have incredibly long days, yet still provide such a great experience for everyone and show true compassion for their jobs. It was my sons first cub scout outing, and it definitely created a passion for him that will last!

Just got home after a weekend at this camp. This place is absolutely world-class. A gem in the scouting community. Cheetah runs a great program with very talented den leaders. Tarzan does an amazing job running the food program! My 8 year old was crying because she didn't want to leave.
