We stopped in to the bar at Barnacles to meet friends that were staying on Mille Lacs for ice fishing. The meat raffle happened to be going on so that was a nice added surprise. The guy who runs and moderates the meat raffle is awesome - he is full of energy, does all the work himself, and really makes it a lot of fun (keep him around). They are rude and inconsiderate to the people who are trying to reach a love one that is there. They hang up on whoever is trying to get a message to a family member. We couldn't get to the resort because we were not able to get ahold of the person that we were going to see.

Loved the woman who served us a drink at this clean friendly Tavern plus Restaurant & don't forget the Resort on this BEAUTIFUL LAKE MILACS SCENIC drive that i took July 31 2018. The bartender was a very nice woman we talked about the hotel they also have there the lot prices etc...she was very informative & I felt very honest enjoyed my drink talked to a couple patrons that were staying at the Re... The bartender was a very nice woman we talked about the hotel they also have there the lot prices etc...she was very informative & I felt very honest enjoyed my drink talked to a couple patrons that were staying at the Resort also. Every one from worker to patrons seemed relaxed easy going & I think it would be fun to stay there for the weekend. There are many close small resorts around that you could walk or drive to. The shoreline at Barnacles is very clean & a nice view. Didn't get to see the hotel rooms...I'm thinking that they are clean as the bar was. Reasonably priced only $10 more on the weekends. Renting a spot for your RV was reasonable also.
