Absolutely loved our stay at spot 53! It’s a cozy back-in site tucked away in the woods, which made for a perfect little getaway. We brought our 17ft Ice Castle, and it fit perfect. The location is super convenient—near the bathroom and only a short walk to the pool area. The campground itself was really enjoyable, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit. Highly recommend it.

The playground and swing set they have is run down and rusted out. They happen to be celebrating Carlton daze happening that weekend so I also heard the sound of concert music in the evening on Saturday until midnight. Pool needed tending to also. Staff seemed pleasant. And it was a decent site. Not my favorite place to visit and will not be returning.

Staying back in the secluded tent area was a blessing. We now have returned early August in a camper cabin. The staff the three interactions we have had. Have been incredibly rude as well as short and rude to our children. Told my boys to "Get Out" of the hot tub or they were kicked out for the entire weekend. The boys weren't in the hottub 30 seconds and there was no other warnings. Sat and starred as we were parking by our Cabin. Over the year's I have done nothing but rant and rave over how nice this camp site was. However that will not be happening any longer. Along with the rude staff the bathrooms smelled awful. Our cabin was filthy, run down and many pieces broken (our key and lock), play ground was run down and at the end of its life. And lastly the pool (which my children and family were most excited for) is broken, cracked and broken tiles and smelled foul. Do yourself a favor and find a near by resort to support!!! We will NOT be back!

As a full-time RV'er and KOA member, I've stayed at numerous KOA locations across both the US and Canada. This location is perfectly fine... certainly nothing to get excited about. Seems like they're there to police policies more than anything. I've been to Germany and they're less militant about their rules. (Another guest called them the "Gestapo"). If you choose to stay here, good luck to you and yours... do yourself a favor and stay away from the yellow shirts. As for me, my RV, and my extended family, we will not be staying here again... and I will be leaving negative reviews on every platform I use.

It's a gem nestled in a wooded area. Campsites and cabins are nicely spaced. Many sites are wooded. Clean spacious restrooms, little store, game room and nice clean pool. Easy access to Duluth or Cloquet. Close to trails and water. Staff is friendly and helpful. Quiet.
