A little bit of prairie and forest, river and falls, bison and birds. It's a beautiful park for a hike or just to watch the bison. We went in late winter and found few people walking the trails.

Was never disappointed visiting this place. Although the entry fee is $7 per vehicle, there’s the all-year subscription at $35, which covered the Minnesota State Parks. Definitely the all-year subscription is worth the price, especially if you’re living in/around Mankato or in Minnesota in general. I really love the accessibility of both the falls. Also the place has great landscape overall. Defi... Was never disappointed visiting this place. The waterfalls are beautiful. We did the buffalo drive and didn't see anything the first time, but we came back a couple of hours later and saw them from a distance. Didn't check out the campground or any other hiking trails so can't comment on those.

Beautiful double waterfall, we were disappointed that the trail was closed, but there’s still a great view of the falls. The buffalo enclosure drive was a unique experience. We got a glimpse of about 12 members of the herd.
