Miami is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
Missouri weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Miami.
Don't miss local attractions near Miami. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

A HIDDEN GEM. We’ve been staying at campgrounds all over USA for over 20 years so I have a lot to compare to this campground. WE LOVED IT!!!! Cross creek is family owned and charming. The sites are spacious and tree lined. It is not on the main road, which is great because it is quiet and peaceful. It is quite a large property. It is quite a large property. My kids roamed throughout the property on bikes, explored the creek, crossed a walking bridge Over the lake to Duck Island, played minigolf, fished, walked small trails, roasted marshmallows, and generally had the best time. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. You can tell that they love their place and take pride in it. If you are staying in this area, don’t look any further. We would definitely return!

Keeping in mind that we're probably a little more particular than the average RV-er. . .at first, we were a little put off by the long, arduous, hilly, narrow, gravel road to get to the campground. Keeping in mind that we're probably a little more particular than the average RV-er. . .at first, we were a little put off by the long, arduous, hilly, narrow, gravel road to get to the campground. Upon arriving at the campground we were immediately greeted by a friendly, helpful seasonal camper that would become known as the standard for those that work and camp here. Upon first glance, our spot looked too small, cramped, and unappealing, but one of the hosts said it was the best spot and we would surely fit with no problems. To that end, he and a group of staff and seasonal campers (can't tell which is which as they are all knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful) took the time to help us turn around on that narrow, gravel road, and back us into our spot. Of course he was right; we woke up the next morning and realized it was just travel fatigue the night before distorting our vision. . .we had ample room to stretch out and the view was phenomenal. It was certainly the best spot! Shortly after setting up we realized that there was no Wifi, spotty cellular coverage, no cable. . .in the 21st century! There goes our nightly family movies and morning email checks. Honestly, it was a great "amenity." Instead of screen time, we spent hours fishing, mastering skipping rocks, feeding ducks, learning shuffle board, swimming, playing miniature golf, and just enjoying the view of the pond from the nice wooden swings while enjoying some ice cream. Oh, and we still got our nightly family movies; just watched old ones downloaded movies as we huddled around our tablet (quality family time) In the end, this was one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at; truly enjoyed good ole' fashion camping despite being in a RV. If I had to offer one thing that we didn't like so much it was that the high rate of seasonal campers which can, at times, make you feel like an awkward outsider to an exclusive club with a secret handshake.

We were lucky enough to get a site for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend! Such a relaxing place with great people. The owners Steve & Shelly and camp hosts Wendy, Naomia, and Dawn go out of their way to make you feel welcome AND get you settled into your site. Thank you so much. They even had a “golf cart” parade on Saturday.

Lovely little family owned and family friendly campground. Appreciated the enforced quiet hours. Could not believe the hospitality felt when checking in and getting settled into our site. Peaceful and quiet. Parents, kids and dogs alike enjoyed the weekend.
