I rented cabin 28 again this year. Have been in this cabin for years now for opening day. Over the past few years things have gone down hill. Over the past few years things have gone down hill. Last year we were unable to unlock our door and the had to give us a maintenance key as our card swiper was not repairable so it would function. This year, our door came open during the day. They had removed the swipe card locks and replaced with regular door handles. Ours was very poorly installed and the mechanism did not secure itself to the strike plate and could just be pushed open. They did get maintenance to stop by and get it "bandaided" until we left so it would be secure for our belongings while fishing. There has not been anyone by to empty the trash, check on towls, or clean in the 3 days we have been here. The hot water runs, but the temp is set at warm at best. It would be appreciated during the colder spring and fall months to at least have water temps that approached hot. Every year for the past decade the price has crept up and the service or structural upkeep has gone down. The staff we have seen have been very nice and helpful, but at this price point one expects a secure functional door, some kind of towl/trash service, and hot water. Would highly recommend the state park as campground adventure, the hiking and fishing are exceptional, but if looking for cabin life I might want to explore other options.

Such a beautiful campground, especially during autumn foliage changes! Even though there were plenty of campers, everyone was courteous to each other and we had a peaceful stay over our three nights.
