Awesome place to visit. Even better when you follow the road up the mountain. Follow the switchbacks up the mountain. no cellphone signal (t-mobile), we were a little worried as we were the only ones there and it's off a busy local road. road in was quite bumpy / gravel. no animal encounters though and there are bear boxes and vault toilets hidden near the exit!! beautiful creekside tent spots but you do have to walk your gear in. also when we went mid-september there was nothing stated about a nightly fee...

This is a great camp site. The boulder river runs by each camp site providing great white noise for bed time, fresh water, and great views. The is a clean bathroom on site. Picnic tables at each site. There is also a water pump on site but the water comes out dirty. The river water was sparkling clean though.
