I have camped at a lot of locations before this has been the most beautiful place so far. Besides just being minutes up from the Yellowstone north entrance, it's got an amazing view if you get the right site ( which we did), fresh air, wildlife (elk) and well maintained facilities. The only downfall is that it gets pretty windy sometimes, but dies down fairly quickly. Unfortunately for us, for some odd reason. The two coldest nights of the month happen to be both our nights (33° and 31°) then back to the 40s when we left. The drive up and down is an adventure in itself, but the view from the route is just amazing. You can see the town, the Yellowstone entrance and the detour route that you probably came down from

Nice campground close to the North Entrance. No hook ups but some nice sites. The only drawback is the 2 mile road from Gardiner. All wash boards and pot holes. Whoever maintains that road can do better.

Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied! We booked 4 nights for a relaxing time based on the reviews but were given a flooded site. We booked 4 nights for a relaxing time based on the reviews but were given a flooded site. It had been flooded for weeks (they knew about it but still sold the spot) so they installed a noisy pump right on our site in the grass. We were not able to use our site since it was muddy, ankle deep in water and full of mosquitoes. We pulled the picnic table out of the water/mud and placed it on the gravel parking pad. I understand they were sold out for the first night but all other nights there were several sites open but were not allowed to move. We were told if you don't like it, leave, knowing that in peak season we wouldn't be able to find another place. What was mostly disappointing was the Owner/management was extremely rude. They didn't care and didn't want to hear about any of it. Be careful when booking to ask if they fixed their flooding into your site since the pump is very noticeable at night and loads of mosquitoes due to the standing water.

Right on the Beartooth Highway about an hour from Billings. Right on the Rock Creek outside the town of Red Lodge, MT. We planned on staying only a few nights and stayed for 7 nights. Stunning scenery, clean campground. It was a great as a “home base”. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Perrys for your hospitality!

Couldn't be closer to Yellowstone! Inexpensive and comfy spot to lay your head. There is a huge variety in site sizes. We got in on a Tuesday at 4:00 and there were two spots left so I wouldn't hang your vacation on it unless you are traveling in the shoulder season. Road from Gardiner is a well maintained gravel roadn it is somewhat windy and steep but passable by just about any vehicle. No rec... Couldn't be closer to Yellowstone! Next to a roadway, we heard cars all night. They ran their sprinkler system at 2:00 in the afternoon. Watered our chairs, picnic table. I had to walk through the sprinklers yo get inside my RV.

We absolutely love this campground! It is quite and convenient to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The views of the Absaroka Mountains and Mammoth Hot Springs at the higher sights. The stargazing at this park is incredible with little to no light pollution. The sights were nice, but not all that private. Highly recommend this for cheap camping just outside Yellowstone.

I stayed here for over 10 months, and yes thur the dead of winter. Sharon is nothing short of an amazing lady. There's nothing more I can say. I'd rate it a 10 if I was able to. Very clean, quiet and the friendliest people around. Get the ring eye at the Montanana steak house, and grab a beer at the wheel (great breakfasts also).

Nice, quiet, grassy, spot with shade and a great shower. The shower was like showering at home with a nice dry area with a bath mat and chair for dressing and a supply of toiletries. I wish all the places we stayed were as welcoming as this.

What a wonderful surprise, they are not kidding when they say it's the best kept secret in Yellow Stone County. Beautiful campground, immaculately kept grounds, and 2 large ponds stocked full of trout, wish we could of stayed longer. Highly recommend!
