The #1 campground in the USA, and for good reason! The views are beautiful, the sound of the creek is relaxing, Bison roam through the campground on a regular basis, bears roam across the creek, wolves are a mile away in their den, golden Eagles nest on the cliff by the road, Beaver swim in Slough Creek and all this for $20 a night!? 🤯🤯🤯 The hosts are great people too, James and Amy are super... Amy has a great smile and James has the best hair I have ever seen!

This is a cute little area tucked inside Yellowstone. You are basically sleeping next to the Bison (and Bears) in this place. Very pretty though.

Beautiful and quiet. I wished we would have brought a sun canopy instead of our tarps as there was no trees in our site to hang the tarps. Once the sun came up over the mountain it got very hot. We had multiple bison roam through camp which was magical!

This campground only has 16 sites and site#1 and 2 are a bit secluded from the rest. Site#2 nobody had shown up and I was solo camping, so, that became a somewhat spooky experience for me especially with the campground host warning of Bears roaming close to the campsites. It was my dream to camp at slough creek and stay in the heart of the Serengeti of North America! The creek flows right beside site#1, I was able to photograph Milky Way Galaxy on my phone, saw a couple of bisons across the creek at 5am. The wolf den look out point is 1 miles away. There is a golden eagle nest as well nearby. So, it was indeed a special experience. The campground has no water so please bring your own. Giving it 4 stars because of the eerie and extremely lonely nature of site#1. Also, people don't cancel it and then don't show up which prevents those who tried to reserve but couldn't to stay here.
