About Havre RV Park

Campground in Montana.

Havre RV Park offers a convenient base for exploring north-central Montana and the unique High Line region. Located in Havre, a historic town with genuine western character, this RV park provides straightforward accommodations for travelers exploring one of Montana's most underrated areas.

Havre sits along US Highway 2, making it an ideal stopping point for those traveling across northern Montana or heading toward the Canadian border. The town itself has a rich railroad heritage and a genuine small-town Montana feel that appeals to travelers seeking authentic western experiences away from crowded tourist corridors. The landscape surrounding Havre features rolling prairie, open skies, and the kind of wide-open spaces that draw people to Montana in the first place.

The area offers numerous attractions for outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The Havre Beneath the Streets is a fascinating underground network of tunnels and historic storefronts from the town's early days, offering guided tours that provide insight into the region's colorful past. The H. Earl Clack Museum showcases local history and Native American artifacts, while the nearby Fort Assiniboine Ski Area provides winter recreation opportunities for those visiting during colder months.

For outdoor recreation, the region provides excellent opportunities for hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing. The Rocky Boy's Reservation lies relatively close by, and numerous scenic drives wind through the surrounding countryside. Bird watchers particularly appreciate the High Line area, as the region sits along important migration routes and provides habitat for numerous species.

Havre appeals to travelers seeking a quieter Montana experience without the crowds of more popular destinations. It's ideal for those on a cross-country road trip who want a comfortable overnight stop, families exploring Montana's less-traveled routes, and outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate the region's natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The park's location makes it a practical base for exploring north-central Montana while experiencing genuine small-town hospitality.

Then I read the reviews and realized several gave a low rating because there is no cable? Kris, who checked us in, was very friendly and efficient. They run a Conoco station and RV campground so he was busy back and forth and handled it very well and seemed to enjoy his job. The campground grounds were well kept and very clean. On the back side of the building there are 4 private bathrooms with a nice shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer, and plenty of room to clean up. There is a laundry room and guests are allowed to use the services of the Best Western next door. Even though it is next to the highway it was very quiet at night, we heard no traffic or trains-maybe they know the quiet hours 😁 GREAT STOP

Convenient location in town, but be prepared for train and traffic noise. The WiFi does not extend out to the RV parking area, but you can go to the coffee shop and convenience store. Good VZ coverage. Good Sam Club 10% discount is honored on site rental. We stayed 2 nights.

Stayed in the tent area while bicycling cross country. The staff was friendly and it was nice to have a shower at the end of a long day. Getting woke by sprinklers at midnight with out any warning removes any positive feelings I had about this bright and noisy spot. If you're tenting find someplace else unless you want to get wet.
