This Appalachian Trail shelter is a large, log lean-to with space for 8 people, with five earthen tent pads. A composting privy and a bear box are located nearby. Fires are not permitted at this site in order to help revegetate the area after years of overuse. Eliza Brook nearby is a plentiful water source, and one of the last reliable sources before you summit.
