Nice day spot to hang out at. Picnic benches and grills are right on the river. There's plenty of rock scrambling to do if you like that. They also have a dumpster and bathrooms. We went on Memorial day and were the only people all day, its a good spot if you want to be away from the crowds that go up the kanc. There's also a cool stone fireplace that i believe can be used.

It can seem like many turn offs for this area but the sign WILL say Picnic area for its entrance, so you will know. It is clean and beautiful with simple to follow trails that leads to a peaceful spring. There is a Pavillion that you can rent out for use and there are picnic tables near fire grills for cookout in the field. Also a stone fireplace for nighttime "campfire". It was chilly as evening came on so definately a jacket needed. (At least needed from saturday Sept. 4th when we went there). Lastly there is an aquarium that is approximately 15 minutes from area (we might be going there soon and I'll update you on that one if we do experience it.) Sorry that my photos weren't the best as i was carrying my baby on the trail. Which reminds me that signal was poor here. Recommend downloading your map (GPS) to here and the return back trip ahead of time for offline viewing as mine didn't work until I got signal again a little after leaving the area. Blessed camping in Gods nature! Psalms 19:1

Nice picnic area on the river. There's picnic tables with grills to have cookouts, a nice little field to play in or you can go cool off in the river.
