This state park is a true gem. Easy moderate and hard trails abound. Take your pick based on your skill level. I am so lucky to have this place available as a local resource. The Pemigewassat River is mesmerizing! Pack out your trash, please.

One of the best state parks you will ever visit. Trails are very well maintained. The visitor center, though not huge or elaborate, is very nice, clean, and informative, even with a food area and gift shop. There is sufficient parking close to the visitor center. Excellent public state park. Well done. Beautiful views, scenery, and nature.

We went to the park a week after peak foliage season. Traffic wasn't horrific, and the view kayaking on echo lake was the best. We also hiked to Lonesome lake, and watched the sunrise over the mountains from Polly's Pancake Parlor.
