Had a really great stay at Chestnut Lake Campground. The place is peaceful, clean, and just an easy spot to relax for a few days. The whole campground has a laid-back, welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. Bathrooms and showers were clean, which is always a big plus when camping. Overall it was just a nice, stress-free trip and we’d definitely come back again

Great find in the Poconos! We stayed over during a busy Poconos Raceway weekend to visit family in the area when all the other campgrounds we checked were fully booked. We fortunately got the last available site over the phone with Laura, who was very nice, and called several times afterwards to make sure we were OK as we got there late in the day. We fortunately got the last available site over the phone with Laura, who was very nice, and called several times afterwards to make sure we were OK as we got there late in the day. AAA discount saved us 10% over listed price. Our site (#100) was level, had fresh gravel, good water pressure and electric, and was shaded. The office sent someone to spot as I had to back into the site, which was super helpful (and ensured we were safe). Bathrooms were clean, had good water pressure and hot water even though the campground was full. Our dog loved walking around the lake which was very tranquil in the mornings & evenings. Front office was very friendly and offered help if we needed anything, which we didn’t, but it was nice to know we could ask. We felt very safe and even slept with the back of our van open to take advantage of the night breeze. Campground feels very secluded even though it’s only 2 stone throws away from Rt 209 where you can get every service imaginable including firewood. Will definitely consider coming back. Thank you for being great campground hosts!

Great place to stay! We stayed in a tent with a pavilion. The campground was super spacios and everyone else was far from us... plenty of privacy! They had a rec room with board games, fuseball table, and hand hockey... The kids had a blast! We enjoyed fishing! The playground is great!! Its huge! So much fun!

The people who stay here and own it are not kind to nature. You’ll see garbage all around their grounds and across the street. The people who stay should be ashamed for just throwing all sorts of garbage. It’s not a small amount, it’s a dumpsters worth scattered everywhere and the deeper you walk in the forest across the street the more you see Edit: I’m not buying your story. What really happen... What really happens is the people who stay with you throw their trash up and down the road. This does make it your responsibility. If you clean it up and consistently keep it clean I’ll delete the review

My fiance and I have been coming back for about four or five years now for their tent camping. We both love the campground! We both love the campground! There are a ton of amenities like a playground for kids, a beach for swimming, spots to fish around the lake, boat rentals, a rec room, newly renovated bathrooms, the list goes on!! Wawa, Weis and the local town are only a few minutes away for convenience. The staff & others staying there are very friendly too. The only thing is that they used to let us camp around the lake, but the past few Memorial Day weekends they only let us tent kind of near the bathrooms on the edge of their field. I understand a few bad apples can ruin it for everyone, but it just sucks for those who have been coming for years - specifically for their remote feeling tent sites that aren't right next to someone else. I hope it will go back to the old way someday. We will very like be back in a few months for their rustic camping if it is available. Edit: We tried to come back for the rustic camping, but unfortunately we were told they don't have it. Between having the camp sites at the open field where there is no privacy, and no more rustic camping, I think it might unfortunately be time for us to find a different campsite. It was a great couple of years though, we had great memories there. If they ever go back to the way it used to be, we'll surely be back.
