About Pine Hill Reservation — BSA

Campground in New Jersey.

Pine Hill Reservation offers a peaceful camping experience in central New Jersey, providing RV enthusiasts with a chance to explore one of the state's natural green spaces. Located in a region known for its diverse landscapes and outdoor recreation opportunities, this public campground serves as an excellent base for discovering what makes New Jersey's countryside special.

The surrounding area of Pine Hill presents visitors with the authentic character of central New Jersey. The region features a mix of woodlands and open spaces typical of the Pine Barrens ecosystem, an ecologically significant area that stretches across southern New Jersey. This unique environment creates a distinct camping atmosphere where you can experience nature in a relatively undeveloped setting, quite different from the heavily urbanized coastal areas many associate with the state.

For those interested in outdoor activities, the location provides access to hiking, nature observation, and exploration of the local flora and fauna. The Pine Barrens region is known for its sandy soil, pine and oak forests, and unique wildlife including rare plant species found nowhere else on Earth. Bird watchers and nature photographers will find plenty of opportunities to observe the area's natural inhabitants throughout the seasons.

The proximity to central New Jersey means you're within reasonable driving distance of both cultural attractions and recreational facilities. Visitors can explore nearby towns, visit local shops and restaurants, or venture toward points of interest that dot the New Jersey landscape. The location works well for travelers seeking a quieter, more nature-focused camping experience while still maintaining reasonable access to civilization and services.

Pine Hill Reservation attracts families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking to experience a more rustic side of New Jersey. Whether you're interested in immersing yourself in nature, enjoying peaceful mornings in a woodland setting, or using the location as a jumping-off point for exploring central Jersey, this public campground provides an accessible option for RV camping in the region.

A great Boy Scout Reservation tucked into Camden County! Pine Hill has great facilities and the Garden State Council uses it for many events and program activities. We have gone for several Cub Scout day camps, ScoutsBSA Klondike Derbies, campouts, and other events.

Camp itself is nice; little slice of woods in a somewhat urban area. Would be great for tent camping or in the Adirondacks. Our troop stayed in webster cabin, which needs a little love - the cabin was musty and dusty. The showers in the showerhouse were out of service, but the large restroom on the top of the hill was clean and easily accessible. The camp is a great start off point to visit Ph... The camp is a great start off point to visit Philadelphia (we were in town for the scout weekend hence the cabin over tent camping being in public at the constitution center warranted it).

This was my first place ever camping and I’ve loved it ever since, it’s a very nice camp with lots of hiking trails, a pool and a small waterfront for scouts.

We have come here on multiple Boy Scout adventures. It is clean, well-marked, and always fun. The scouts have a lot to offer kids. This is just one of the awesome places we have been to learn, play and spend time with family and friends.
