My family and I rented a cabin at Ponderosa campground twice a year for about eight years. Two reasons we went to Ponderosa - 1. We liked the cabins here because they have cabins with a full bathroom. 2. They are the closest to Avalon Blvd. Ponderosa has no scheduled activities, no game room for the kids, no outdoor game areas (horseshoes, cornhole, pickleball, minigolf, etc.). They have one pool... They have one pool that is very small. As far as the cabins go, be prepared to clean your cabin when you get there. I have watched the campground clean EVERY cabin with the same dirty water, every year we went they cleaned like this. So, I always unloaded the cleaning supplies first. Then while my husband and son unloaded the car, I would clean/bleach the bathroom, mop the floor of the cabin and wipe the bed matts with bleach wipes. It was always filthy after I cleaned, after they cleaned. Also, no one staying there talks to anyone or even says Hi. Not that we had ever seen. That said, one can find MUCH better campgrounds in the area with lots of activities, planned events going on, Mr. Softee coming on Saturdays, etc. So, if you want a nice pool and any activities going on, go to a different campground. Marci - From your response (which I see you have deleted. So I posted pictures of your response), it is obvious you can not take criticism. You can be rude, I do not care. I already knew you were a rude person. My family and I stayed at your DIRTY campground because of the cost. This is what people ON A BUDGET have to do, stay at not so great places and make the best of it. I knew what to expect from your campground, that is why I had my routine every time we went. That is what we did, for years. Now that my son is older and we can afford better, we moved to a different campground. We are very happy. Thank you for your wishes Marci! We ARE having fruitful camping elsewhere! And now that everyone on Google can see how rude Marci the owner is, they should have "fruitful" camping elsewhere too!

Got a chance to talk with the General Manager, Tina - she truly cares about the Campground and Guests, and it shows. We will definitely be back!

Wildwood and Cape May are only 20 min away and we took a day trip there as well for the boardwalk and water park. We really maximized our time there. I also bbq onsite in between which helps save on spending. Also there is an Acme and Dollar general right across the street so it was super convenient any time I needed to grab something. We loved it so much we extended our stay an extra day, we just weren't ready to leave. We will be coming back again. Love this place.

A great weekend getaway for our family of four. The cabin was surprisingly clean and the campground was quiet. It was a wonderful weekend getaway. Next time will definitely be opting for the cabin with a bathroom. Very Family Friendly and accessible to nearby grocery stores and dollar general. We went during peak season, so it was busy and the cabins are close together, Yet overall it was a good experience. Staff is great and friendly
