South Shore Campground

I think that this place is a nice campground and the staff is very friendly. I am writing this to warn anyone with dogs who will be staying there. We recently stayed for 5 days (and we have stayed here prior to this visit) however, on the 3rd day of our stay our dogs were scratching and biting themselves. My one dog practically chewed her tail off and it was bleeding badly. We picked up some aller... I think that this place is a nice campground and the staff is very friendly. I am writing this to warn anyone with dogs who will be staying there. We recently stayed for 5 days (and we have stayed here prior to this visit) however, on the 3rd day of our stay our dogs were scratching and biting themselves. My one dog practically chewed her tail off and it was bleeding badly. We picked up some allergy medication and cream to apply it to it, assuming it was an allergy with the pollen this year but booked an appointment with our Vet the day we left and found out that they were infected by MITES! My dogs wear Seresto Collar but this will not protect them from mites. I only want to share this to keep your pets safe. Unsure if the campground sprays the grounds but you will need to give your pet BRAVECTO. As much as we liked it here, our pets are our babies and we will not be returning. Better to be safe!

I really enjoyed everything about this campsite. The people are All friendly, staff and guests. The sites are clean, wider than most with plenty of room for your largest set up. The Bathrooms and showers are 100% spotless no matter what time of Day or night. I had the pleasure of speaking with Wendy, the woman responsible for the cleanliness of the bathrooms and her positive outlook on this p... I really enjoyed everything about this campsite. She was as well informed as the office staff on anything we talked about. She spoke highly of her employer and took great pride in this campground as if it were her own. We love Down The Shore campground! Last year, my son (26)) And I Stayed in The beach house. This year we chose the cabin, which I will be choosing again for next year. I loved it! We love the choice of two beaches, Ocean City and SeaIsle We do the boards In Ocean City and beach in SeaIsle Love the fact, both are about a 15 minute drive. We love Down The Shore campground very clean. Staff is awesom... We love Down The Shore campground! Last year, my son (26)) And I Stayed in The beach house. We love Down The Shore campground very clean. Staff is awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pickleball courts. The lake in the pool are always awesome.! I would highly recommend this for anybody who’s looking for a very reasonable place to stay. This place offers more than any other place at the beach. As far as I’m concerned you can’t beat the price and the stay is always great.❤️

We had a great experience staying in the cottage rentals. They have two bedrooms, nice kitchen and bathroom with excellent water pressure and HOT water which is a plus for our family. Andy, the owner was very attentive with the check in process and anything we needed during our stay ! The views from the cottages were awesome right in front Of the pool and clubhouse. I stayed at Jersey Shore Campground on April 2025 with our Girl Scout Troop. Our troop occupied four cabins for the weekend and it was our best Girl Scout camping trip. It far exceeded any other camp ground we have been to during our yearly camping trips. The cabins are beautiful! They are Amish made, have a full kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms with real beds and covered matresses which were very... I stayed at Jersey Shore Campground on April 2025 with our Girl Scout Troop. Our troop occupied four cabins for the weekend and it was our best Girl Scout camping trip. It far exceeded any other camp ground we have been to during our yearly camping trips. The cabins are beautiful! They are Amish made, have a full kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms with real beds and covered matresses which were very comfortable and a lot of storage space for clothes. They had two flat screen tvs as well-one in the living room and one in the larger bedroom. There is a forum in the bedroom which was also comfortable for sleeping and the kids LOVED the loft where they slept. The grounds are clean and the people who run this campground are professional and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We really enjoyed cooking on the grills and making campfires and having nightly s’mores. This campground has a lot of great amenities, including a pool, pickleball court, outdoor movie theater and a lake. It’s minutes from the cape May zoo and stine harbor and cape May beaches. We loved it so much I booked a cabin for my family for this summer. We unfortunately, had to cancel our reservation due to my husband needing surgery. Despite not being within the 60 day cancellation period, Andrew was gracious enough to refund us our entire deposit and cancel our reservation. We will definitely be back to this campground next summer!!
