We used to camp here every summer when I was growing up. Great memories of a beautiful place. My mother sowed hollyhock seeds 60 years ago and the flowers are thriving even now! ( only the stalks remain since it is November) Historical church and graveyard near by which was interesting.

I've camped here a few times with other families and really enjoyed each trip. The hiking and fishing are both great, and the scenery is beautiful. Star watching at night is outstanding — some of the clearest skies I’ve seen. Just a heads-up: there’s no cell service, so bring satellite comms if you need to stay in touch or have them for emergencies like we did. Overall, a peaceful and memorable sp... Very skinny, dirt road that's not too friendly on oversized vehicles. We had a Dodge Ram woth a camper and a trailer in tow, and it was okay, but I believe the reason they call it "Holy Ghost" campground is because you are praying down that entire 3 mile road that there is no oncoming traffic. Then someone needs to back up. But, once you are there, I think it's one of the very best campgrounds in... But, once you are there, I think it's one of the very best campgrounds in the state. We met a couple from Germany, and they were amazed by it's beauty and abundance of animal and plant life. There are lots of insects, but I was pleasantly surprised that there were no mosquitos, even though we were near water. The creek that runs along the side has little rainbow trout, and there are wild raspberries and gooseberries and wild roses galore. Lots of paths to explore though the woods. Good amount of space per campsite and all sites on the east side have access to the creek. I believe the only negativity in reviews could be from 1)the difficult road 2)it's not an overly developed campground, so the sites are pretty level, but it's not like you have a cement slab to park on.. If you love the outdoors, and quiet, beautiful trees and the sound of running water, it's worth the trek. My Dad and I visited in the last week of August, 2024. The weather and overall experience could not have been more perfect. And the dog loved it too! Picnic table and fire ring at every site.

Beautiful and quiet campground. The campground has a long winding road with tent and camper sites spread out on both sides. The river is right next to the sights so you can hear it running at all times. The bathrooms are big and there are alot of recycle/garbage bins around. Views are beautiful and the campground was peaceful.
